Yay, first real blog, let’s see how it goes, shall we?
After dinner my family and I decided to watch an old video tape from when we were younger. The first one was from 1995, that’s like 15 years ago (no shit, Sherlock)! We were on vacation in Limburg (south of the Netherlands) and my siblings and I were so cute, especially my little brother. He was 2 at that time and he was the most adorable little boy ever. My sister and I were getting along and we were playing and running around like nothing else mattered.
The other video tape was from 1997, and even though it was only 2 years later, and we all look like it’s still from the same summer, little things have changed. We moved into my grandmothers house, who died the previous year, we hung out with friends and fashion changed a tiny bit.
However, now, fifteen years later, EVERYTHING has changed. Off course, we grew up, my siblings and I learned how to stand on our own feet, instead of letting our parents decide everything. But the relations between us changed too. I didn’t really get along with my sister in the past 15 years, my brother could be really annoying and my parents and I had our discussions too.
I’ve got other friends now, not the same friends who are in the videotapes.
Why did I pick this subject for my first ‘real’ blog? Because I wonder what will change in the upcoming 15 years. Will I still be friends with the people I talk to now? I really hope so.. otherwise we wouldn’t be talking at this moment.. doh! But it has proven that 15 years can change everything. Like my sister and I. We used to get along, then we didn’t get along. But now we do get along again.
I sometimes am afraid of what will happen in the comming 15 years, but then I look back at the previous 15 years. I am happy now! Lot’s of things have happened in the past, I enjoyed them or learned from them, and I’ve became a better person (or at least, I hope I did).
So whatever happens in the future, everything what will happen, will stay with me to become what I will be in 15 years.
Oh, and if this blog entry confuses you (it even confuses me a bit), don’t worry, it’s only my first blog.. Practice makes perfect.. aight?
